Eighty square metres and three separate bedrooms, so six people sleep properly rather than someone drawing the short straw on a sofa — one room with a double bed, two more with twin beds each. Two bathrooms, which at six people is the difference between a holiday and a queue.
The terrace is what sets it apart. It runs the width of the apartment under a deep overhang, with a table that seats six at one end and sun loungers at the other, and it folds open to the living room through a full-height door. Look out and Velebit is there — the mountain wall on the mainland side of the channel, stretched across the horizon behind the rooftops.
Inside, the living room, kitchen and dining table share one long space with leather sofas at the far end. The kitchen is the fullest in the house: oven and hob, dishwasher, full-height fridge, coffee machine. This is the apartment for a family that wants to cook and eat together and still not be on top of each other.
